As we previously reported, the new 2024 Title IX Regulations are now in effect as of August 1, 2024. To support compliance with the new 2024 Title IX regulations, Franczek P.C. has created a comprehensive Title IX Toolkit for K-12 Institutions. This Toolkit provides forms and guidance documents to help ensure K-12 Institutions comply with the new requirements during the Title IX grievance process. Specifically, the Toolkit includes template notices, forms, flowcharts, checklists for K-12 Institutions and Title IX Coordinators, and helpful resources for students and families.
Please contact titleix@franczek.com for more information or to purchase.
Franczek is also offering in-person, virtual and on-demand training options to ensure your Title IX teams, and all employees, are fully trained on the new rules. We are also here to provide ongoing comprehensive support for your teams as you roll out and implement your new policies and procedures. As a reminder, the new Title IX regulations require:
- Annual Training: The new regulations require annual training for all those involved in Title IX compliance and a brief training for all employees. As a reminder, Franczek is offering virtual Title IX Administrator and All Employee trainings next week, which can be provided live or on-demand for your Title IX teams. For registration, click [HERE]. Additionally, a member of our Title IX team can work with your Title IX Coordinator to customize live or recorded trainings for your Institution. To learn more about the training support we can provide, please contact any member of our Title IX team or contact titleix@franczek.com.
- Policy: Institutions have the option of maintaining a separate procedure for sex-based complaints or moving to one procedure for all discrimination and harassment complaints. Our Title IX attorneys are happy to work with you to draft or revise your policies for compliance with the new regulations. For assistance, please contact any member of our Title IX team or titleix@franczek.com.
*Today, the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) communicated its position that the 2024 regulations do not currently apply to certain states and schools subject to recent federal court orders that enjoin OCR from enforcing the 2024 regulations at the specific schools and states affected. Most Illinois schools are not affected by this position. Our Franczek Title IX team will be following up with an alert on the impact of the recent Title IX injunctions on your school’s implementation of the 2024 Title IX Rules. You can also contact any member of our Title IX team for further support.
