NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar has been elected as India’s 14th Vice President. In today’s election, he defeated opposition candidate Margaret Alva by 346 votes.

According to Utpal Kumar Singh, the returning officer for the vice presidential election and Lok Sabha Secretary General, out of 780 votes cast by Members of Parliament, Jagdeep Dhankhar received 528 votes, while Margaret Alva received 182 votes. He stated that 15 votes were still invalid.
