The FCC has announced its third public hearing on the broadband consumer labels rulemaking proceeding it initiated to analyze the requirement that broadband providers disclose information, including prices, introductory rates, broadband speeds, and management practices.  The hearing will be on May 25, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. ET on the FCC’s livestream website.  The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act compelled the FCC to hold public hearings to evaluate internet service plans and disclosures.

The hearing will include panels of experts, including individuals from Federal agencies that use labels in their regulatory programs.  The FCC accepts questions in advance of or during the hearing via email to BroadbandLabelsHearing@fcc.gov.
