Benchmark Litigation, the international legal directory focused on dispute resolution, is set to launch a new publication focused on the Chinese market.

June 10 2021 will see the release of the inaugural edition of Benchmark Litigation China, which will provide in-depth coverage of the disputes market across different cities and provinces within China.

Benchmark Litigation China will offer bilingual analysis of six major regions – Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Western China (Sichuan and Chongqing) and Zhejiang.

Among the ranking categories covered are commercial disputes, international arbitration, construction/real estate, and intellectual property.

Benchmark entered the market in 2008 as a US litigation-only directory.

Since then, the publisher – Euromoney’s Legal Media Group – has added numerous regional editions such as dedicated guides for Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

In 2013 Benchmark extended its franchise into Asia with the launch of Benchmark Asia-Pacific.

Benchmark has editorial staff on the ground in Hong Kong (as well as New York and London), which help to compile the rankings.

Benchmark conducts its research through interviews with litigators, dispute resolution specialists, and their clients, to identify the leading litigators and firms.

During these interviews, Benchmark staff examine casework handled by law firms and ask litigators to provide their professional opinions on peers and practitioners within their jurisdiction or practice area.
